Obituary for Virginia Elizabeth McKuhen

Elizabeth Frances McKim McKuhen
April 13, 1940 - March 30, 2020
79 years young
On March 30, 2020, Betty (aka Nana) left the loving care of Legacy House in Ocala, to be in the arms of our God in Heaven. She is preceded by her parents Lillian Josephine Nelson McKim and James Gallagher McKim and grandparents Annie Barnett McKim and Henry Thomas McKim who also helped raise her.
Having been a resident of Ocala for the past three years-- at Heritage Oaks a senior living facility--Betty will be sorely missed by so many friends she had come to know and love.
Montgomery, Alabama was her home though. She was a member of Frazier United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir and served in many ministries during her lifetime. She also was a member of Perrine Baptist Church, Miami, Florida, where she was a constant in many Easter and Christmas Cantatas. Her love of God was definitely her greatest passion, and she shared that love with all who knew her.
Another thing Betty loved in her life was her family. She took pride in showcasing the photos of every member of her family, even extended families, everywhere she lived.
Betty loved her football and The University of Alabama could not have a bigger fan! She would greet you on any given day with her Alabama T-shirt and Alabama plaid pants, and a “ Roll Tide!!!” Her apartment door even had a wreath with an Alabama theme. Everyone knew Betty by her Alabama Southern drawl and sweet smile.

She is survived by her daughters, Debborah Leigh Brady and Karen Elizabeth Richmond, and son, Brian Ray Flinn; her sons-in-law Michael Brady and Dale Richmond. daughter in-law Lorelie Flinn.
Betty had six grandchildren, Michael Brady, Jennifer Sheneman. Lauren Brady, Dale Richmond, Brandon Richmond and Braden Flinn. She had eleven great great-grand children, Boston, Knox, Driver, Kern, Finn, Bear, Cavan, Logan, Maverick, Hartley Grace & Cora.
She also had extended family in Trey Sheneman, Lazarro, Lexus and Autumn Guerrero.
